Aurigny Frequent Flyer Household Account – Collect Points as a Family

If you regularly fly with Aurigny, there's a handy feature that many people don't know about – Household Accounts.

Rather than each family member collecting points separately (and taking much longer to earn enough for a reward flight), Aurigny allows eligible households to pool their Award Points into one account.

It's completely free to use and, if you travel as a family, it's one of the easiest ways to earn free flights sooner.

What is an Aurigny Household Account?

An Aurigny Household Account allows one adult (known as the Primary Member) to combine the FrequentFlyer points earned by other members of the household.

According to Aurigny, the Primary Member must:

  • Be 18 years or older

  • Be an existing FrequentFlyer member

  • Live at the same permanent residential address as the other members

You can add up to nine household members, provided they are over the age of two and permanently live at the same address.

The biggest benefit?

Everyone's points are pooled together, meaning you'll usually reach the number of points needed for an award flight much faster.

Why It's Great for Families

Imagine a family of four flying to the UK a couple of times each year. If everyone collects points separately, each account may take years to earn enough for a reward flight.

With a Household Account, every eligible family member's points are added together, so your family can start enjoying reward flights much sooner.

How to Add Additional Members to Your Household Account

Adding family members (including children) is surprisingly straightforward -

Step 1 - Log into your Aurigny FrequentFlyer account.

Step 2 - Open your Account section.

Step 3 - Select Travel Members. Then 'Add Other Member'

Step 4 - Enter your new member details exactly as requested.

NOTE! The mobile App and the website versions vary slightly, the main difference being the mobile App refers to 'Travel Members' whereas the web version refers to 'Companions'.

Travelling as Part of a Group? Don't Miss Out on Your FrequentFlyer Points!

One of the best features of Aurigny's Frequent Flyer programme is that every member of your Household Account can earn points, even when they're travelling on a booking made by someone else.

This could include:

✈️ School trips

⚜️ Scout or Guide camps

⚽ Sports teams

🎵 Music tours

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family holidays booked by another relative

💼 Business trips arranged by your employer

🎉 Any other eligible group booking

If the booking wasn't made by you, your Frequent Flyer number may not have been added automatically - but it's quick and easy to do yourself. You will however need the Booking Reference to be able to add the Frequent Flyer points to your own account.

How to Add Your Frequent Flyer Number to a Group Booking

  1. Visit Manage My Bookings on the Aurigny website.

  2. Enter the Booking Reference (if you don't have it, ask the person or organisation that made the booking).

  3. Enter your surname.

  4. A list of everyone travelling on the booking will appear.

  5. Select the name of any member of your Household Account.

  6. Click Add Membership Number.

  7. Enter your Aurigny Frequent Flyer Number.

Boom! 🎉 The Frequent Flyer number is now linked to the booking, so the points will be credited to your Frequent Flyer account after they travel.

To note - you don't have to add the frequent flyer number before travelling - you can always add them afterwards.

IMPORTANT - Glitching issues!!

The system does seem to be a little glitchy. We couldn't actually get this to work when we tried adding our FrequentFlyer number to my children's group flight bookings on the mobile App version. I tried several times on both my son and daughter's separate group booking references but still no luck. I logged onto the web version on my laptop and it DID work! So if you do have similar issues - try again on the web version or use a laptop instead of a mobile device 👍🤷‍♀️

SuperSavvySavers Tip 💡

Many Guernsey families have children who have travelled several times with school, Scouts, Guides or on family holidays without ever collecting the points they were entitled to.

So whenever any member of your Household Account is travelling on a booking made by someone else, ask for the booking reference as soon as it's available. It only takes a minute to add your Frequent Flyer number and could help your family earn your next reward flight even sooner!

And don't worry if you don't add your Frequent Flyer number before the travel date - you can always add it afterwards.

A Few Things to Remember

✔ Everyone must permanently live at the same address.

✔ Household members must be over two years old.

✔ Up to nine household members can be added.

✔ Award Points are valid for 24 months from the date they are credited.

✔ Remember to include your FrequentFlyer number when making bookings!

✔ If you've booked as part of a Group - ask for the Booking Reference

Final Thoughts

Aurigny's Household Account is one of the most useful (and often overlooked) features of its Frequent Flyer programme.

If your family flies even once or twice a year, pooling everyone's points can make a real difference, helping you earn reward flights much faster than collecting points individually.

It's free to set up, only takes a few minutes, and could save you money on future travel ✈️

Happy Travels! ✈️

Hello everyone! It's always interesting to discover services that help businesses and organizations operate more efficiently. care home waste management caught my eye thanks to its home care solutions in the UK. I especially liked that the company considers not only waste removal but also the overall approach to waste management. For care organizations, this could be a great way to streamline their daily workflow.
