Did you know that many UK retailers offer discounts to all members of the Scout Association. The discounts can vary between retailers, but often include money off clothing, shoes, accessories and outdoor equipment for all boys and girls, Scout leaders, Scouting Association volunteers and anyone involved within the Scouting family.

Who is eligible to receive the Scouts Discounts?

The discounts at Youth members of the Scouting Association include all boys and girls from the Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers.

How to claim the Scouts Discount

Just let them know at the till that you have a Scout (Beaver or Cub…) and present some form of proof of membership of the Scout Association such as your woggle or a photo of your scout in uniform usually does the trick.

Do the Girl Guiding Association get the Discounts too?

The Girlguiding Association and the Scout Association are separate organisations, although they have similar aims and principles.

Members of the Girlguiding Association are entitled to many of the same discounts enjoyed by the Scouting Association. Although Girlguiding is not specifically mentioned on most of the UK retailer websites that we have seen, we are aware of Girl Guides and Girlguiding leaders that have claimed the Scout Association discounts without any issues.

These offers and discounts will extend to all youth members within the Girlguiding Association including girls from Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers.

Just ask at the till when you go to pay and take some proof with you such as an item of your Guiding uniform or a photo of your child (or yourself) in uniform.

Scouts Duke of Edinburgh and Girlguiding Discounts

Those taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh award are often also eligible for the discounts. Just ask in-store and take some proof with you.

Which Guernsey Retailers offer the Scouts Discount?

Local Guernsey retailers that offer Discounts for Scouts include:

Mountain Warehouse - 15% for all Scout members

Millets - 15% for Scout Leaders and 10% for Scouting youth members

Trespass - 15% for all Scout members

Which UK Retailers offer the Scouts Discount?

There are several outdoorsy type retailers in the UK who will happily offer discounts to members of the Scouting Association. The UK retailers offer a Scouts discount include -

GO Outdoors - offer discounts on a huge range of clothing and equipment and services in-store from kit talks to help at Scout events. GO Outdoors aim to inspire everyone to get outdoors for less and love it as much as they do.

To make the outdoors more accessible to all, GO Outdoors offer a discount of 15% off for Scout Leaders and 10% off for Scouting members. Exclusions apply.

GO Outdoors is the Recommended Outdoor Retailer for The Scout Association. They have a great range of own brand clothing and equipment as well as some of the more familiar brands you are used to.

Blacks - Blacks stores offer various discounts to members of the Scouting Association, Girlguiding Association, Duke of Edinburgh participants, YHA members, Camping and Caravanning and lots of other associations.

Online: You will need to request a code from the Scouts to obtain an online discount.

In Store: Simply show something to a member of staff in-store to prove you are a member of the Scouts. A Necker or another item of your uniform is sufficient.

Mountain Warehouse - Mountain Warehouse are happy to offer members of the Scouting Association a 15% discount to use both on the website and in store:
